The project Linked Data for Professional Education (LD4PE), funded between 2014 and 2017 by the Institute of Museum and Library Studies (IMLS) and lead by the University of Washington Information School, developed a web-based exploratorium to support structured discovery of online learning resources about Linked Data. The project produced this website, which has been converted into a static site for preservation, and a Linked Data Competency Index. DCMI will keep this site online on a "best effort" basis as long as resources permit. The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine should be regarded as the source of archival copies for the long term.

Querying RDF data

RDF Database Systems: Triples Storage and SPARQL Query Processing

Available in print or EBook, this resource professes to "distill everything you need to know to effectively use or design an RDF database". This book [...]

Querying Linked Data

This presentation looks in detail at SPARQL and introduces approaches for querying and updating semantic data. It covers the SPARQL algebra, the SPARQL protocol, and [...]

Towards Reconciling SPARQL and Certain Answers

SPARQL entailment regimes are strongly influenced by the big body of works on ontology-based query answering, notably in the area of Description Logics (DLs). However, [...]

ELITE: An Entailment-based Federated Query Engine for Complete and Transparent Semantic Data Integration

In recent years, the core of the Semantic Web has evolved to a conceptual layer built by a set of ontologies mapped onto data distributed [...]

On the Semantics of SPARQL Queries with Optional Matching under Entailment Regimes

This paper studies the semantics of SPARQL queries with optional matching features under entailment regimes. It argues that the normative semantics may lead to answers [...]

SPARQL Beyond Subgraph Matching

This paper describes the extension of the Semantic Web query language SPARQL by defining the semantics of SPARQL queries under the entailment regimes of RDF, [...]

Schema-Agnostic Query Rewriting in SPARQL 1.1

SPARQL 1.1 supports the use of ontologies to enrich query results with logical entailments, and OWL 2 provides a dedicated fragment OWL QL for this [...]

Foundations of Semantic Web Technologies: SPARQL Entailment Regimes

Slides covering the following topics: SPARQL can now be used with RDF Schema, OWL, and RIF semantics. Entailment Regimes overwrite evaluation of basic graph patterns. [...]

Using SPARQL with RDFS and OWL Entailment

This chapter accompanied the lecture on SPARQL with entailment regimes given at the 7th Reasoning Web Summer School in Galway, Ireland, 2011. It first introduces [...]

SPARQL 1.1 Entailment Regimes

There are different possible ways of defining a basic graph pattern matching extension for an entailment relation. This document specifies one such way for a [...]
