The project Linked Data for Professional Education (LD4PE), funded between 2014 and 2017 by the Institute of Museum and Library Studies (IMLS) and lead by the University of Washington Information School, developed a web-based exploratorium to support structured discovery of online learning resources about Linked Data. The project produced this website, which has been converted into a static site for preservation, and a Linked Data Competency Index. DCMI will keep this site online on a "best effort" basis as long as resources permit. The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine should be regarded as the source of archival copies for the long term.

RDF and Logic: Reasoning and Extension

This paper explores embedding the various kinds of RDF entailment in F-Logic. It shows that the embedding of simple, RDF, and RDFS entailment, as well [...]

Expressive Languages for Querying the Semantic Web

SPARQL 1.1 was recently released, which includes entailment regimes for RDFS and OWL vocabularies and a mechanism to express navigation patterns through regular expressions. Unfortunately, [...]

Knowledge Graph Identification

Large-scale information processing systems are able to extract massive collections of interrelated facts, but unfortunately transforming these candidate facts into useful knowledge is a formidable [...]

Discovering Missing Semantic Relations Between Entities in Wikipedia

Wikipedia’s infoboxes contain rich structured information of various entities, which have been exploited by the DBpedia project to generate large-scale Linked Data datasets. Among all [...]

Answering SPARQL Queries over Databases under OWL 2 QL Entailment Regime

This paper presents an extension of the ontology-based data access platform Ontop that supports answering SPARQL queries under the OWL 2 QL direct semantics entailment [...]

Querying Semantic Web Data with SPARQL (and SPARQL 1.1)

This lengthy slide presentation covers SPARQL 1.1. It begins with the fundamentals: graph patterns, operators, and algebraic representations. The second half dives deeply into complex [...]

Towards Reconciling SPARQL and Certain Answers

SPARQL entailment regimes are strongly influenced by the big body of works on ontology-based query answering, notably in the area of Description Logics (DLs). However, [...]

Updating RDFS ABoxes and TBoxes in SPARQL

Updates in RDF stores have recently been standardized in the SPARQL 1.1 Update specification. However, computing answers entailed by ontologies in triple stores is usually [...]

Using SPARQL with RDFS and OWL Entailment

This chapter accompanied the lecture on SPARQL with entailment regimes given at the 7th Reasoning Web Summer School in Galway, Ireland, 2011. It first introduces [...]

SPARQL Query Containment under RDFS Entailment Regime

This research paper addresses the problem of SPARQL query containment, which is defined as determining if the result of one query is included in the [...]
