This presentation addresses the main issues related to Linked Data and scalability. The author describes a relationship between Big Data and Linked Data, and explores how some of the solutions can be transferred from the former to the latter. In particular, different database options are presented (with a focus on NoSQL and Graph databases). Other topics include: using MapReduce to achieve "distributed reasoning"; updates to the SPARQL language that will be necessary to handle streaming data.
